2021 Fall Ball

The Newport Lacrosse Fall season is for those enrolled in K through12th grade for the 2021-2022 school year!

As summer winds down, we are gearing up for Fall Ball!  Dig out your sticks, dust off your helmets, find your missing pads, and come out for fall ball. Newport Lacrosse is offering an 11-week series (15-week for HS) of 90 minutes sessions  to work on conditioning and lacrosse skills. These will be "practice like" sessions, with players expected to be in full gear.  While we are not going to formally participate in the GELL Fall Season, we do plan to set up scrimmages for our teams. (High school teams will also scrimmage, with a possibility of participating in a local tournament.)

This is also for players that have never played but want to give it a try. This is a great opportunity for boys playing other sports that want to try putting on the pads and learning the fundamental skills prior to the 2022 spring season.

All players, coaches, and spectators are required to wear a mask at this time (regardless of vaccination status.)

**There is no restriction on home address for Fall Ball. You may live in any part of the community and participate in this session.  Please be aware, for the Spring Season, players must live within the Newport High School boundary.  If your home address is such that you would not attend Newport High School and live within the Newport High School boundary, you will not be able to play for Newport during the spring season.

Newport   Lacrosse

Free Lacrosse Skills Clinic! Grades K-8

Come and try it, see if you like it.

Newport Lacrosse will be holding free lacrosse skills clinics this fall to introduce the game of lacrosse to our local youth.  Our goal is to increase awareness of the game of lacrosse and to encourage kids to give it a try.  We put a lacrosse stick into their hands, teach them the fundamentals, then sit back and watch a love for the “fasted sport on two feet” take hold.

Lacrosse is a great sport, and a great way to make friendships that will last a lifetime.  Our coaches, parents, and volunteers are committed to developing each player’s character, while teaching leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, physical and mental endurance.

Please consider joining us for one (or all) of these sessions and give lacrosse a try!
